Title: Lead User Experience Designer
Reports to: VP of Audience Development
Position Purpose:
Perfect Market is seeking a full-time creative, and passionate Lead User Experience Designer to improve the usability and design of our product. The Lead User Experience Designer will be involved in all aspects of the UX design for our client portfolio. As a key member of our team, you will have a significant, highly visible impact on our products. The ideal candidate is a creative and strategic thinker, with a mix of tactical execution skills and deep experience in user-centered design for online news and web-based products. Responsibilities:
- Apply user-centered design to create appealing and satisfying user experiences.
- Collaborate with customer and product team to brainstorm and advise on product direction.
- Design interactions, site flows and wireframes.
- Create visual user interface designs.
- Develop and maintain user experience design best practices and guidelines.
Requirements:
- BS/BA or MS/MFA degree in Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience.
- A compelling portfolio.
- At least 4 years of experience in the interaction design of Web applications.
- Well versed in the latest design techniques and styles.
- Passion for simplicity and consistency in design.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Mastery of design tools such as Photoshop, or Illustrator.
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
