Title: Network Operations and IT System Engineer
Reports to: Senior Operations and Systems Engineer
Position Purpose:
Perfect Market is seeking a full-time Network Operations and IT System Engineer. The successful candidate must have significant experience with network infrastructure set up and operation, LAMP (linux, apache, mysql, PHP) in a high-traffic and high SLA environment. Candidate needs experience with Cisco Catalyst 45xx, Cisco 7204 routers, Foundry FESX448 X Series, Load Balancer (F5, BIG-IP), High Availability, firewalls and file storage management. Experience needed with Solr / Lucene, Wigwam, Cactai, Nagios, Squid, Apache, MySQL Server, PHP, jBoss, VMware and Oracle Experience with Cloud Computing Environment, EC2 and Windows administration experience (Windows Server 2003, 2008; XP, Vista, Linux (CentOS), Exchange, Office).
Requirements/Qualities:
- Assist in co-loc transition planning, design and setup.
- Design and implement a scalable and redundant network infrastructure and automate service monitoring and alert system.
- Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting, project growth, capacity planning and extension.
- Handle new system requirement and application deployments.
- Perform database installations, replication, upgrades, and tuning.
- Test and tune network firewalls and routers, database, solr, squid cache, and application servers.
- Create deployment scripts, reporting, and operations monitoring scripts (cactai, nagios).
- Assist in day-to-day operations and maintenance of high traffic web sites.
