Title: Software Engineer
Reports to: VP of Engineering
Position Purpose:
Perfect Market is seeking full-time Software Engineers who are interested in innovative technologies and solutions. Looking for a quick learner strongly oriented in PHP and Java development for clients and servers. The successful candidate must have significant experience in building cross-browser, consumer-oriented websites and applications, and is strong in the following areas:
- Languages: Server side Java, Client side PHP, Objective-C, PERL, and Windows development with Win32 API (optional).
- Web GUI development: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, dynamic HTML.
- Web technologies: PHP, MySQL, Apache, JBoss SEAM, Squid, JSP, SQL, Web services.
- Development/Deployment Tools: Trac, CVS, Wigwam, NetBeans, Eclipse, Toad for MySQL, PUTTY, WinSCP and VMWare.
- Systems: Linux (CentOS) and Windows server.
Requirements/Qualities:
- Analyzing business and user-requirements and investigating new technologies.
- Researching, evaluating, designing and writing new web based applications.
- Unit testing new programs and ensuring scalability and performance.
- Enhancing existing solutions by analyzing and identifying areas for modification.
- Creating technical specifications and ability to articulate the specifications to the rest of the team.
- Working closely with product managers and project managers, QAs, developers to ensure programs meet expectations.
